The first ever automated lobster hatchery. The project will develop an industrial cost-effective hatchery for European Lobster (EL) zoea larvae (ZL).We will develop processes for maturing ZL to benthic juvenile stage IV (J-IV). We will mitigate cannibalism, improve feed and living conditions; by developing novel, ZL-specific automated processes, and visual AI-based control. This will improve the survival (5%->20%) and growth rate (21->15 days) for live J-IV. We will deliver the first fully automized industrial-scale hatchery for EL production.
